We sell modernist design products pan-India from Mumbai. A wide selection of our products are on display at the Kala Ghoda Café, Mumbai.

Kala Ghoda Moderna arose as a result of product sourcing efforts for the Kala Ghoda Café. It started with the design for a new bathroom for the café. Most contemporary interior design products today are uninspiring and it’s a struggle to source new stuff. So when we discovered these radical curved 3D tiles via Dezeen, made a by a small Dutch company – DTILE, we decided to make these available to the Indian interiors market.

Our modernist inspired collection also covers bentwood and other wooden chairs from TON in the Czech republic – a 150+ year old company; and ceramic and acrylic vintage lamps from Sweden and Finland. The KGM design inspiration is from the early Modernism & Bauhaus era. This applies to almost everything – from graphic design, typography, furniture, interiors, and architecture.
